Job description: Reporting into the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the corporate accounting function, prioritising process improvements, and working closely with various internal stakeholders. This role is hybrid (4 days a week in office).Month-End & Reconciliation:

• Mentor junior staff in month-end procedures.
• Review and approve account reconciliations for accuracy.

Financial Transactions & Reporting:

• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Post journal entries and review subledgers for AR/AP accuracy.
• Review billable expenses and authorise vendor payments.

Tax, Audit & Compliance:

• Review taxable benefits and employee advances.
• Assist with audits and tax reporting.
• Ensure compliance with OSC regulations.

Budgeting & Analysis:

• Prepare quarterly performance reports and variance analysis.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.

Process Improvement & Collaboration:

• Drive process improvements for department efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Fund Accounting and Portfolio Finance.
• Support the Controller with various tasks.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar hands-on corporate accounting role within industry.
• Working experience with Partnerships Accounting is preferred.
• CPA designation or actively working towards obtaining it.
• Experience in private equity, investment management, or financial services is preferred.
• Previous experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
• Excellent comprehension and communication abilities.
