This course is part of the Teacher Education North program, located in Grande Prairie, Alberta.EDEL 321 Introduction to Curriculum and Pedagogy in Elementary School Physical EducationThis course is designed to prepare students to teach Physical Education effectively in an elementary school setting. The goals to this end integrate understanding of child development, physical education, health, curriculum and pedagogy and making curricula links.Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications

• The successful applicant will hold a Master’s Degree (minimum, PhD preferred) in Education with at least one graduate course in the specific curricular subject area, or leadership experience in the subject area at the K-9 level in a school district.
• A commitment to the University’s Indigenous initiatives, and principles of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• A strong K-12 classroom teaching background and demonstrated teaching excellence.
• Experience teaching undergraduate education courses, including serving as a teaching assistant.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Familiarity and facility with online teaching platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, D2L, etc.
