Job description: Summary of DutiesThe RN is responsible for the total care of a group of residents within a primary nursing care delivery model. The RN supports the Philosophy of Patient-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.Qualifications/Skills
- Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration
- Current B.C.L.S. Certification
- Experience in Long Term care required
- Cognitive support experience an asset
- Ability to function in an interdisciplinary setting as a primary nurse
- Ability to work effectively and therapeutically in a setting with residents with dementia
- Resident and Family Focused Care philosophy required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent assessment skills
- Demonstrated collaborative team-player
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated leadership experience
