As an RPN, you will ensure Residents receive excellent care services by increasing their comfort, independence and control in all aspects of their care. How You’ll Create Impact

• Support the functions of the Nursing Department while working in the retirement setting.
• Responsible for directing PSWs on the unit, to ensure the effective and excellent delivery of care services.
• This includes, but is not limited to; collecting and analyzing data from all care disciplines,
• Developing, updating and implementing care plans for all Residents;
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments, and
• Providing continuity of care by accurately reporting and documenting changes in Resident’s health.

What Are Your Skills and Experience

• Practical Nursing diploma, required
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), required
• Experience with supervision of direct-care staff
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to assume Unit Nurse responsibilities, to effectively direct staff and resolve conflict
• Ability to collect and analyze data, create care plans and evaluate results
• Ability to effectively follow best practices, policies and procedures of the Home and compliance with Nursing Standards of Practice
• Outstanding organizational skills
